BA/BS required, with specific study in sales/marketing,
business. Minimum of five (5) years strong healthcare sales experience, with
concentration in diagnostic sales and strong working knowledge of distributor
sales.
Skills:
Strong sales presentation skills and closing skills.
Solid people and relationship building skills.
Good organizational and writing skills.
Ability to interface with HCD customers, including distributors
and medical personnel, acting as a consultant/educator of medical
services.
Essential Functions:
Develop strong relationships with distributors in
the region to increase sales through purchasing capital products and
reagents.
Manage sales leads database and respond to all sales
leads with appropriate product and pricing information.
Develop strong relationships with reference laboratories
to increase sales.
Travel with distributors to meet new customers.
Service existing accounts.
Work with other territory managers to support achieving
the monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
Submit, on a timely basis, call reports, monthly reports,
expense reports and time off reports.
Attend all US tradeshows, along with other regional
representation.
Physical Demands
This position will require heavy travel throughout the region
with lots of “hand on” selling and “cold-calling” to distributors. Attendance
at tradeshows and corporate meetings is also required.
Work Environment
15-20% home office work, 80-85% travel/outside sales.
