OPTIGEN® Allergen-Specific IgE Assay
Hitachi Chemical Diagnostics OPTIGEN® technology is a next generation in vitro
test that provides clinicians with a front-line solution leading to early diagnosis of
allergy conditions. OPTIGEN results are accurate, reliable and reproducible, and correlate
well with skin testing and single allergen systems.

Animation.
The unique value of OPTIGEN is its minimal serum requirement, making it an ideal tool
for early diagnosis. With OPTIGENs panel format, clinicians can receive between 20
and 36 specific IgE results from a single serum sample. OPTIGEN is state-of-the-art
allergy testing technology. It eliminates inventory of individual allergens and decreases
waste. With lower serum requirements, smaller volumes of serum controls are necessary,
further reducing cost.
The first panel released with OPTIGEN is the Universal Panel
20. This panel was selected with the aid of allergists and pediatricians in different
countries and targets the most common allergens worldwide.
OPTIGEN, with its simple, three-step process and same day results, requires minimal
training. It provides plenty of "walk-away" time, allowing staff to perform
other duties. The panel format also decreases "handling" for technicians. The
entire testing process is detailed in OPTIGEN's
Illustrated Protocol Summary.
