CLA® Allergen-Specific IgE Assay
The CLA® technology is quantifiable and
objective; and it requires only one blood sample, making it less invasive to the patient.
By delivering rapid diagnosis, this safe and reliable system enables allergy sufferers to
begin therapy more quickly.

CLA® Pette
The fundamental component of the system is the CLA Pette, a small plastic
device that can measure the severity of a patient's allergic reaction to up to 36
different allergens, all using a single blood sample.
The CLA® Allergy Test serves allergy patients worldwide
so every Pette is geographically specific. Physicians select the panel
appropriate for their patient.
- Inhalant panelpollen, dust, mites and other airborne allergens in the patient's region
- Food panelcommonly ingested foods, such as milk, tomato, soybean or wheat
- Combination panelup to 36 of the most prevalent food and inhalant allergens overall
Inside every Pette are up to 36 cellulose threads, each containing a selected
allergen. The patient's blood sample is drawn and the serum is separated and aspirated
into the device. IgE-specific antibodies in the serum bind to the allergens in the threads
that trigger an allergic reaction. The technician then adds additional reagents to the
panel, which produces light proportionate to the response. The results are determined by
loading the Pette into the
CLA-1 Luminometer.

CLA-1 Luminometer
This state-of-the-art-patented device reads prepared Pette panels, measuring the
intensity of the signal emitted by each allergen thread. In eight minutes, it can analyze
up to 180 allergens!
The compact CLA-1 Luminometer automatically prints a complete report that
lists the tested allergens and the severity of the patient's response to each. Easy to use
and understand, the system is the simplest, quickest and most convenient allergy testing
method available today.
